Chrissie is a highly skilled advanced practice nurse with a broad range of experience spanning more than 30 years. Chrissie has recently completed her Masters of Nurse Practitioner to expand her scope of practice within the speciality area of Primary Health Care. She has worked extensively in remote Indigenous health and enjoys providing individualised, culturally sensitive health care.

Chrissie has a special interest area in maternal and child health and women’s health but also enjoys providing urgent care to all age groups within the primary health care setting. Her scope of practice is broadened with qualifications and extensive experience as a midwife and child health nurse, as well as providing cervical screening, sexual health counselling and contraceptive options, including Implanon insertion and removal.

Chrissie works between Brisbane and the Torres Strait Islands to maintain a balance between the higher paced city opportunities, and the less travelled, but uniquely challenging remote health landscape.
